Topic: Weird problem with my OG Xbox.

I have an OG fat xbox that does this weird screen flickering glitching thing where the image continuously overlaps. It happens no matter what game I'm trying to play but strangely appears to clear up the longer the xbox has been running. After a good 20 to 30 minutes it goes back to being fine.

I thought maybe a bad clock capacitor but i opened it up and saw no leakage or anything looking out of the ordinary. Anyone know what could be the problem?

Don't know if it matters but i had it connected to a 4K TV.

So nobody knows what I'm talking about? It's really weird. It's like my xbox needs a priest. Never seen anything like it on any other console.

I've never seen this before, but it does sound a lot like there's a bad capacitor of some kind (not the clock one), especially with the issue clearing up as the system runs for a while.

Are you using component cables, or what? I'd be curious if you got different results over composite, as unlikely as that is.

@smoreon
I did find one video of a similar issue on YouTube. The guy on there was asking if anyone knew the issue and a few others said maybe bad capacitors as well. I'm using AV cables and i could try a component cable i have. I might get some sorta HDMi cable hookup like the pound kind if those are any good but yeah it's strange. It's like the image cuts in and out every few seconds and the graphics go all haywire with double images. It is strange for sure how it's only doing it until it gets warmed up then mostly stops.
