Can you have an external hard drive and the Seagate expansion card plugged into the Series X simultaneously? I'd like to move some digital games from the external drive to the Seagate card. Thanks!

@Wr1terTyp3 Yes, I've had both plugged in at the same time.

@Wr1terTyp3 Of course you can. Just remember that that if you want to play a 'Series S/X' version of a game, it must be on the internal or external expansion card. The external USB connected storage (whether you use SSD or HDD), can only play Backwards Compatible games direct from it. I think Xbox allows for 2 external USB connected Storage devices.

Seagate had the exclusive contract to provide an Expansion card for Xbox but as that 1 year agreement is coming to an end, we could see more options from 3rd Party manufacturers in the 'near' future. Hopefully that competition will provide us with more choices at better prices too...

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...

Yeah, no problem, i've got a 1Tb USB drive and the expansion card in my Series S
@BAMozzy
I didn't realise it was only an agreement for 1 year. That's good as we need competition to bring prices down
