Do i have to read all the messages on the floor? im at the begining of the game just it slows the game down , its the white scratch markings on the floor im on about .
Thanks
Nah you don't need to read them at all. The vast majority are other players leaving messages with a small handful being from NPC's.
Some of them warn you about ambushes and the likes up ahead but others are people messing about to get people to jump off cliffs to their deaths.
It's definitely just about personal preference and has no real bearing on the game itself
@alpacatears
I think i've found a bug related to messages. Sometimes when i'm near one say hinting at a secret wall then I'm not able to do any attacks at all and it's stuck like that until i've visited a Site of Grace.
Has anyone else had this happen?
Just wondering how active is Xbox players in Elden Ring nowadays? Do Xbox players have no issues in summoning other players etc. or is the community few and far between?
@NintendoByNature Not at all! IMO, Elden Ring is far more accessible and a much more 'pleasant' experience than DS.
DS is an awesome game for sure, but ER really takes the formula and adapts/develops so that the experience is more palatable for those not overly familiar with the Souls genre.
ER is still very challenging at times, but the open-world nature allows you to go away and explore somewhere else and/or level up then face the obstacle again
@CJD87 thats great news. With all the hype, I'm VERY interested in ER, but alas got a little timid jumping in knowing how bad I am at DS. So I'll be checking this out soon. Thank you!
@NintendoByNature The only bit of advice I'd give, is try to have an idea of what sort of build/character you want from the start - and then you can level up your statistics accordingly. (nb you can actually re-spec later, a limited number of times, so it isnt the end of the world if your stat allocation goes awry!)
