Topic: Controller Issue

Hey.

I bought a Xbox Series X|S controller for my PC and it just arrived today but even with fresh batteries it will not turn on without being connected to the PC via USB. It will just flash a couple of times and once I connect with the USB I can remove the USB but it will only last about 30 seconds to a minute before shutting off.

I tried updating the firmware but it didn't work.

Is there anything else I can do or is this the second Xbox controller I have to return(the first one needed a PC adaptor I don't have and did not want to buy)?

UPDATE:
I discovered that the issue seemed to be with the battery clasps as when I adjusted them I was able to get it to turn on wirelessly but still only for a handful of seconds. I went ahead and returned it in favor of a GameSir Cyclone which works fantastically.
I have a GameSir TS3 as well which has been great for Pokemon fan games so this just further confirms that it's a reliable brand.
