Topic: 5 months on...

So, we're now 5 months into Series X.
Have any of your thoughts changed since launch?
Are you loving it more... or starting to regret buying it?

Other than a need for a simpler and better UI, I really don't have many gripes.

One curiosity... when in the store, searching by genre (e.g. Racing) only a fraction of the games in the genre come up. A bit frustrating, as otherwise you need to know the exact game you want... but sometimes it's nice to browse (maybe I'm missing something?).

Hardware still all in good working order (apart from one controller that makes a horrible noise through headset... But I have 2 other controllers, so no prob) and the box is nice and quiet.

Nice to see some nice hardware support in terms of the new Xbox wireless headset... Apparently good quality AND a reasonable price.

Gamepass is a BIG winner and has some of the Sony fans griping and sniping.
I don't think Sony will step up they're PS Now and Plus services much in response this been, as they are already sure to sell more than Xbox and have their customers locked in... They might want to think about the future though... The future gen could be trickier if they don't have a compelling offering to match gamepass.

I would just like some new AAA multiplayer Xbox IPs... Shouldn't still be relying on Halo/Gears/Forza.

I regret nothing. It's been one of my favourite consoles (I'm on the Series S) for quite a while.

My only issue is really the lack of next-gen games, and the incredibly slow pace at which they're releasing these 60fps patches for previous gen games.

That said, once the Mass Effect trilogy launches, that'll keep me busy until E3 easily.

I absolutely love my Series X and Gamepass! Honestly no regrets and since I'm new to Xbox with this purchase i have no shortages of games to play so I'm not hurting personally for any new releases, I'm hurting for time to play all the games. I honestly can't think of any other purchase I've made that has made me this happy about it...maybe the first car...or first rubber?

Technically, yes, since I didn't get one at launch. I initially sided with PlayStation this generation, but changed about a month ago. Don't regret it one bit. Since I owned both last generation, I didn't get to play anywhere near what I would have if I was just with Xbox, so I have plenty to play as well between the occasional new release and the vastly superior backwards compatibility.
