So my cousin died and I inherited his xbox one. I'd like to make my account the primary without getting rid of his for sentimental reasons. I mean I can just switch the accounts after every startup but its tedious. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.
You could do a factory reset, making your own account the primary holder, then add your cousin's account as a secondary if you have all the details + email access.
Might be worth even looking into the details of your cousin's account.
All this is of the top of my head, and I'm quite certain others may have better solutions for you.
@EtherealJunk You can assign the controller to your account in the settings so that every time you switch on the console with that specific controller it'll sign in with your account.
