Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Multiplayer Officially Revealed

Let's steal some gear!

The first official look at the multiplayer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been revealed.

Earlier in the week we reported that footage of the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain demo from Gamescom 2014 had leaked online. The footage was quickly pulled from YouTube and Konami announced they would release the demo video to the public, which you can now watch below.

In The Phantom Pain you will be able to infiltrate and raid Mother Bases that belong to other players. While on their base you will be able to use Fulton Recovery to kidnap enemy personnel, as well as steal weapons, vehicles and equipment. To prevent other players from infiltrating your base, you have to develop and invest in security systems and defenses, such as gun cameras and laser sensors.

The demo opens with a variant of a single-player mission shown at this year's at E3, then moves on to multiplayer. If you want to just see the multiplayer, start at the 16:30 mark, but we suggest you watch the whole thing!

Very cool! I wonder if the multiplayer component will seamlessly blend into the single-player like Watch Dogs did.

A surveillance camera? Snake needs to learn how count, that or bandana and chaff grenades.

@Anthinator Judging by all the footage and Ground Zeroes, I think it will be more seamless.
Watch Dogs still had loading screening, where i think MGSV will be a simple cross-fade transition and loading takes place behind-the-scenes, when you're in the helicopter.
