E3 2014: Halo: The Master Chief Collection Confirmed for Xbox One

Halo 2 gets the Anniversary treatment too

Rejoice Halo fans! Microsoft has finally confirmed the Halo: Master Chief Collection and it's coming to Xbox One.

Arriving on November 11th and presented on a single blu-ray disc, the collection will include remastered versions of Halo's 1-4 all for the low price of $59.99. For those wondering, Halo 2 will also be getting the HD Anniversary treatment similar to the first Halo on Xbox 360 like switching from classic visuals to new upgraded visuals. All four titles will run at a buttery smooth 60fps and 1080p.

Even better, the popular multiplayer mode is returning entirely intact with zero sacrifices so fans can continue battling one another on Xbox One.

The collection will have a slick and intuitive menu screen, making it easy to swap between all four games. Every difficulty mode and mission will be unlocked from the get-go so players can even create customized playlists surrounding their favourite levels for all of the games.

Because we all love achievements, the Master Chief Collection will ship with 4000 gamerscore points (1,000 for each).

Also included in the collection is Halo: Nightfall, a live-action television video series based around the Halo universe, and a multiplayer beta for Halo 5: Guardians which is slated for a December release.

The Master Chief Collection can now be pre-ordered.

So sad Halo 2 Anniversary won't be coming to Xbox 360. I hope there's still hope it will eventually.

I'm not a fan of last-gen re-releases like Halo 3 and 4 this early at all but this has Halo 2 Anniversary so I'll be buying it.
