Minecraft Xbox One Comparison Shots Released

Posted by Ken Barnes

Thirty-six times the size of the 360 version?

The team over at 4J Studios has released a pair of comparison shots to show off the difference between the draw distances in the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft and the upcoming Xbox One edition.

On top of that, the team has confirmed that they're currently playing with a maximum world size increase of 36 times the area of the Xbox 360 world, although that doesn't mean that the final version will necessarily reach that size. But hey, if they're trying it out, then it must be at least a possibility, right?

Check out the comparison images below and see how far you can see on the Xbox One edition...

@SunnyShores — I'm kind of excited for it, too. It will be cool to get back to my town that has been neglected for nearly two years now. Will I have to pull weeds and stuff like Animal Crossing? :p

@SunnyShores — Haha. Not really. It can be surprisingly relaxing. I think that's part of the appeal of Minecraft and Animal Crossing. It is for me, at least.

Great to see the improved texture palette and draw distance, I just hope they can deliver on size.
