Crystal Dynamics has announced that they'll be bringing Tomb Raider to Xbox One very, very shortly.
In January 2014 (the 28th in the US, to be precise), the game will release as Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, and will contain all of the downloadable content that's been made available for the Xbox 360 version so far, as well as digital versions of the Dark Horse comic, a Brady Games mini-art book, and the "Final Hours" developer videos. Folks who preorder will also get their hands on special art book packaging to sweeten the deal.
The game itself is being touted as being "fully re-built" and contains TRESS FX technology, which delivers realistic hair simulation and motion. We know, right?
On top of that, shaders and lighting have been reworked, and a new model of the main character has been put into place, allowing for more realistic animations and a sharper look. Texture effects have been created at 4x resolution for maximum details, environment destructability has been enhanced, and the game runs at native 1080p. So there.
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition hits the US on January 28th for Xbox One, and the rest of the world at some point very close to that. We've nabbed the announce trailer for you.
