Mortal Shell 2 Comparison Shows Difference Between Xbox Series X And Series S 1

Action-RPG Mortal Shell 2 is available now on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S for those who nabbed the Devout Edition, with its proper launch coming August 20th. Early reviews and impressions paint this dark adventure as a pretty darned great one, boasting an 84 on Metacritic.

But how does it perform on Xbox hardware? Well, you know the drill when it comes to these comparison features - we've turned to Fuzion Xbox Testing on YouTube, who has once again provided gameplay for both consoles.

On Xbox Series X, Mortal Shell 2 is said to run at 2160p in both Quality and Performance modes, although internal resolutions are believed to be somewhat lower. From what we've seen, the Performance option runs at an almost solid 60FPS, whilst Quality rocks an equally sturdy 30FPS, with the occasional bump to 42FPS.

On Xbox Series S, Mortal Shell 2 also supports both Quality and Performance modes, with the game believed to output 1080p, although, like the Series X version, internal resolutions are slightly lower. As for frames, it's a similar story, with Performance supposedly offering a smidge less consistent 60FPS — nothing major, just a few frame drops here and there — whilst Quality mode is bang on 30FPS.

We've not had a chance to try the game for ourselves, but from what we've seen in the videos, it looks like Mortal Shell 2 is performing wonderfully well across Xbox Series consoles.

We'll leave you to gander at both of Fuzion Xbox Testing's videos on Mortal Shell 2 below.
