Another lesser-known award show took place this week in the form of the Canadian Game Awards 2026 (CGA), and Xbox Game Studios' South of Midnight utterly swept the show following its recent PS5 and Switch 2 release.
In total, South of Midnight took home six awards - including the show's coveted Game of the Year Prize. We'll list all of the awards that South of Midnight picked up down below:
- Game of the Year
- Best Console Game
- Best Narrative
- Best Art Direction
- Best Score/Soundtrack
- Best Audio Design
Other winners at the show included Assassin's Creed Shadows (Best in Accessibility), Battlefield 6 (Best PC Game) and Hell is Us (Best Game Design), to name a few.
In addition to those six awards being given out to this Xbox title, Compulsion Games — the team behind South of Midnight — also won the Studio of the Year award. A huge congratulations to Compulsion for sweeping CGA 2026; some much deserved praise for this game and the folks behind it.
