Nvidia has just dropped a new trailer for Resident Evil Requiem showcasing the game's PC ray tracing features, and it contains a fresh look at a very interesting environment tucked within the new RE title.

Of course, we've chucked this new trailer for Requiem up above, which contains glimpses of the recently confirmed return of Leon Kennedy. However, fellow protagonist Grace Ashcroft is also seen walking the streets of a moody cityscape, and it's getting our minds racing about where the new Resident Evil game may go.

Resident Evil Requiem Ray Tracing Trailer Hints At Open City Environment1

This isn't the first time this style of environment has been present in the series, but we have heard rumours that Requiem could open things up a little more this time around. Will the game's cityscape be openly explorable? It's hard to tell at the moment, but it certainly looks like we may get some autonomy to explore, and we've seen driving sequences in recent trailers as well.

The last mainline entry in Resident Evil Village featured some nice open areas so it's not unprecedented; we'll have to see how things shake out in Requiem, then. Capcom's new Resident Evil game hits Xbox Series X|S on February 27th.
