Earlier this month, Assassin's Creed Mirage came to Xbox Game Pass on the eve of its two-year anniversary, and now Ubisoft has announced that the game is getting a surprise free DLC later this year.
Later in 2025, AC Mirage will be expanding with a new story chapter and missions set in 9th century AlUla, Saudi Arabia. The update will also bring gameplay improvements to the base game, alongside a new location, all for free.
With Assassin's Creed Shadows now well into its lifecycle as the most recent AC title, we didn't expect to see any more major updates for Mirage, but we'll certainly take this one - especially given its conveniently close proximity to the base game arriving on Xbox Game Pass.
Anyway, we don't have a date for this bonus AC Mirage DLC just yet, but the team at Ubisoft says that it's coming "later this year" and to "stay tuned" for further information on the update and exactly when it'll arrive - including for Xbox Game Pass players.
