Elden Ring dev FromSoftware has been pretty busy as of late with the likes of Elden Ring: Nightreign and the Switch 2 exclusive The Duskbloods in development - but it sounds like the Japanese studio has another major Xbox game coming sooner than you might think.
A new report from outlet MP1st states that Codename FMC — a multiplatform FromSoftware game — is in the "advanced stages of production" over at the studio. The report goes on to say that "unless it hits a delay, we should be able to play it no later than next year".

"According to information we’ve been able to obtain, the Japanese studio FromSoftware is also in the advanced stages of production on another, as-yet-unannounced project: a multiplatform game with the codename FMC (note that this is most likely an abbreviation of a longer codename).
Considering the nature of the source these details come from, everything points to the project being at such an advanced stage that, unless it hits a delay, we should be able to play it no later than next year."
To see another FromSoftware game launch on Xbox in 2026 would be pretty wild, considering the team's chunky Shadow of the Erdtree expansion only launched in 2024 and Elden Ring: Nightreign only just came out a few months ago. It sounds like things could be pretty busy over there at FromSoft, then!
As always, this is just reported information at the moment and is by no means confirmed - with FromSoftware only having announced the aforementioned The Duskbloods at this time. MP1st seems confident in its source saying that Codename FMC is pretty far along though, so hopefully we'll hear about it in an official capacity sooner rather than later.
