We've been keeping an eye on the multiplayer survival game Dune: Awakening for quite a while now, but it's seemed like the PC version has been taking priority - and a new release announcement confirms that's indeed the case.
Dune: Awakening's Xbox release date has now officially been announced for 2026. This was confirmed in a press release to celebrate the PC launch this week (thanks, IGN), meaning we'll have to wait a while to get our hands on it.
As you can see, the PC version of Dune: Awakening is indeed out now, and it's rocking a "Very Positive" rating on Steam based on over 15,000 user reviews so far. The Metacritic average is sitting at 77 based on eight professional reviews, while the OpenCritic average is at 82 based on just four professional reviews.
It's clearly very early days for the impressions to roll in, but it sounds like players are enjoying their time with this epic open world adventure so far. It's going to be a long old wait to 2026, but it should be in an even better state by then!
We'll throw a few more details about Dune: Awakening below, along with some screenshots.
