'Fantasy Life i' Gets Fantastic First Review Ahead Of Series Debut On Xbox

Back in February, we shared the news that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time would mark the series' first Xbox entry after almost three decades of waiting - and now the game's first review has dropped, and it's looking like the new Fantasy Life title could be a bit of a banger.

Courtesy of our friends over at Nintendo Life, we've spotted that Japanese outlet Famitsu has given its stamp of approval to Fantasy Life i. Ahead of the game's Xbox release on May 21st, the site has granted the title a 9/9/9/9 score - amassing an impressive 36/40 rating overall.

If this early review has piqued your interest in the upcoming "slow-life RPG" on Xbox, well, we'll throw some extra information on the title down below. Fantasy Life i looks very much like a 'Nintendo game' through and through, and it could provide a nice alternative for that sort of experience on Xbox.

"Step into this Slow-Life RPG where you can freely switch between 14 unique jobs, so called "Lives," and enjoy a carefree life in a fantasy world. Fish, cook, shape the island to your liking, or team up with friends to battle monsters across the vast world. It's up to you to choose what kind of Life you'll live!"

We'll also drop the game's release date trailer down below, and as we mentioned up above, this one lands for Xbox Series X|S on May 21st, 2025.
