If you've been looking at the Steam charts in recent weeks, you may have come across a game called Drive Beyond Horizons that's been climbing the rankings - and wondering whether it'll be getting an Xbox version at some point.
Well, the answer is "maybe". Drive Beyond Horizons doesn't have an Xbox release date yet, and it could be years until we get one. There's even the possibility it won't happen at all, although the developer seems keen on a console release down the line.
In a post on the official Drive Beyond Horizons Discord, the studio mentions that it hopes to bring the game to Xbox eventually, but the PC version is taking priority for now.
"The aim will be to finish the game and add modding support with Steam first and then maybe focus on consoles. It could be 1 to 2 years before this is considered, but there is no guarantee a console release will happen at this time."
In terms of what the game actually is, Drive Beyond Horizons allows you to explore procedurally generated landscapes in a customisable vehicle, with the primary focus being on discovery and adventure. Along the way, you'll run into various types of dangers as you "strive to push the limits of your vehicle and reach new horizons".
The game has a "Very Positive" rating on Steam based on over 3,000 user reviews, so here's hoping we see it on Xbox eventually. For now though, it's worth presuming that it'll be years before it arrives on consoles.
