It's finally time (if you've got early access) to jump back into the bloodstained boots of everyone's favourite space murder man, the DOOM Slayer!

Yes, friends. DOOM: The Dark Ages, a shooter that this very writer (idiot that he is) called "a slightly different death-dance, but still a gloriously great one" before slapping it with an egregious 9/10, is here and it's very, very nice. Thank you, Bethesda.

However, for some, questions remain over whether or not this triumphant return to all things rip and/or tear includes a multiplayer mode of any description. The search engine results do not lie. Enquiries are being made as we speak. So, in the general public interest, let us endow you with some facts related to said enquiries. Regarde!

DOOM: The Dark Ages - Does It Have Multiplayer?

Eh. How do we put this? No. No it doesn't. It is a single player-only affair, comprised of a single player campaign with zero in the way of multiplayer modes or content.

We should note, once again, that the single player campaign is very, very good, though. It's also hugely replayable with a ton of difficulty modifiers and fun to be had. On your own. Of course, it's an easy assumption to make, given that we've had an extensive multiplayer suite in the previous outing, so no shade for wondering, amigos. We were a little taken aback by the exclusion ourselves.

Were you hoping to have multiplayer options in this latest DOOM adventure? Let us know!
