We mentioned back in February how popular PC shooter Delta Force was set to launch its Xbox version soon, and that kinda remains the case - with the team revealing fresh footage of the Xbox console edition in a new video update.

You can see this in the timestamped YouTube clip above, where it's revealed that an Xbox Store page will go live for Delta Force imminently, and that the Xbox controls for the game have almost been finished now.

We will be launching the game's Xbox and PlayStation store pages very soon, so be sure to go there and wishlist our game once we are live.

When we talked about Delta Force last time, the game was targeting a Q1 2025 launch, but unfortunately that never came to pass. Delta Force doesn't currently have an official Xbox release window, with the developers mentioning a couple of months ago that there were "key challenges that still need to be addressed".

Here's what they said about it at the time:

The development of the console version is going well. Some of the challenges we are facing now, and may face in the future, are primarily related to ensuring input fairness—especially for a tactical shooter on consoles.

Once we meet our relatively high internal standards, we will be ready to launch. We don’t want to release an unfinished version. Our team is deeply committed to optimizing the console version and ensuring top quality upon release.

Nevertheless, with Delta Force's Xbox gameplay footage now getting the spotlight, and an Xbox Store page set to go live very soon, it feels like we'll be playing this one on Xbox sooner rather than later.

It looks set to prove popular when it does arrive, with the free-to-play shooter racking up almost 100,000 user ratings on Steam to date - where it's got a "Mixed" rating at the moment. It'll be interesting to see how the Xbox version fares!
