Stalker 2 Content Roadmap & Stalker Trilogy Next-Gen Patch To Arrive In 2025

It's been a busy few weeks for GSC Game World — having released Stalker 2, and then delivering multiple post-launch patches since — and it doesn't look like the team is slowing down much in 2025. In a holiday message released today, the Ukrainian developer has committed to a Stalker 2 content roadmap and a next-gen patch for Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy in 2025.

We don't have any specific dates for these arrivals, other than the fact that the team is hoping to deliver this Stalker 2 roadmap "at the beginning of 2025". As for the Trilogy patch - that was already announced, with the studio now attaching a 2025 release window to this Legends of the Zone update.

"Stalkers,

Yesterday, a major patch 1.1 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was released. All the time between the release and the Christmas holidays has been dedicated to improving your experience with our game. We hope that many of you will find the time to start, continue, or finish S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 during the holidays.

Before the New Year, we would like to share our plans for the year 2025:

- We will continue to update S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 in the upcoming year.

- We will be ready to share the content roadmap for the game at the beginning of 2025.

- The next-gen patch for the console versions of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy will be released next year. We know you've asked us to update the PC versions of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, and we also plan to do that. Keep an eye on our social media so you don't miss the exact dates.

The amount of support you've shown us since the game's launch still amazes us. Your support is truly a miracle of the Zone. We will see you next year!

GSC Game World team."

That 1.1 patch for Stalker 2 delivered more than 1,500 updates and fixes to the Xbox Game Pass title earlier this week, which we'll probably end up checking out over the holidays. GSC is certainly committing more time and energy to its sequel in 2025, then, which is good news all round.

We're also curious to see how this Legends of the Zone next-gen patch shapes up next year as well. When we checked the remasters out earlier in 2024 we had a good time with them, but they're definitely somewhat dated in this day and age. Further improvements to the gamepad controls wouldn't go amiss here - but, we'll have to wait and see!
