Earlier this month, we included the PS1-style survival horror game Crow Country in our roundup of exciting indies to look forward to on Xbox, and the good news is that the critics appear to be absolutely loving the game so far!

Some of the highlights here include a 5/5 from The Guardian, a 4/5 from GamesRadar, another 4/5 from Game Informer and an 8/10 from our very own sister site, Push Square! You can read their review down below:

In Crow Country, it's your job to explore an abandoned theme park in search of its owner who mysteriously disappeared two years ago. Along the way, you'll encounter "a beautiful, uncanny blend of tension and tranquillity" as you fight monsters, solve puzzles, and discover what the theme park has to offer amidst a "rich atmosphere".

Impressively, there's also an "Exploration Mode" for those who wish to explore the park without being attacked.

We'll throw more details about Crow Country below, which releases for Xbox Series X and S on May 9th.

" A Survival Horror adventure featuring: A rich atmosphere. A strong, tangible sense of place. A small but memorable cast of characters. Meaningful exploration. Engaging puzzles. And most of all – a beautiful, uncanny blend of tension and tranquillity.

The year is 1990. Edward Crow has disappeared. The owner of ‘Crow Country’ (a small theme park in the rural outskirts of Atlanta, Georgia), he has not been seen since he unexpectedly shut down his park two years ago. The silence is broken when a mysterious young woman named Mara Forest ventures into the heart of the abandoned theme park in order to find him."
