New information has surfaced about Playground Games' former Fable narrative lead Anna Megill, who left the company last August.

As highlighted by Eurogamer, she's now joined CD Projekt Red North America to work on its Cyberpunk 2077 follow-up, codenamed 'Project Orion'. This project is entering its "early stages of development". Megill has also been plenty of other projects over the years including Arkane's Dishonored series and Ubisoft's recent Avatar game.

"Anna Megill is an award-winning game writer and author with 20 years’ experience in video games. She joins Project Orion as Lead Writer on the heels of narrative contributions to such titles as Control (Remedy), Dishonored: Death of The Outsider (Arkane), Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (Ubisoft Massive), Guild Wars 2 (ArenaNet), and the upcoming Fable (Playground Games)."

Here's what Megill had to say before she left Playground last year, mentioning how she had experienced "several wonderful years" working on the project:

"Friends, I have news. In August, I'm stepping away from my role as Narrative Lead on Fable. I've had several wonderful years scribbling away in my fairytale cottage, but the time feels right for new challenges."

"Working on Fable was a dream come true for me, and it's wrenching to leave it behind. But Playground has assembled a Heroically talented team, so I know it's in good hands. I'm excited for what's coming next – for them and for me."

There haven't been many other developments about the new Fable game in recent times, although it seems Playground Games is still busy recruiting. Fans of the series got another look at this upcoming release at Xbox's June Showcase last year.

As for the new Cyberpunk 2077 game, in the same PR release, CDPR announced several other "high profile" additions who had previously worked on series' like Diablo, Hitman, Apex Legends, Mortal Kombat, and Star Wars.

If we hear any significant updates, we'll let you know.
