Green Hell came to Xbox quite a long time ago, and despite it arriving on console after Xbox Series X|S launched, the game never got a native current-gen version - until now, that is!

The development team behind this open world jungle survival game has announced that a proper Xbox Series X and S port is in the works, "alongside all 19 content updates, including the just announced 'Flamekeeper' update".

As a result of this shift towards current-gen, the Xbox One version of the game will sadly cease development from now on. Still, the update will be free for all existing last-gen owners, so that's good news!

It looks like you'll have to start again if you plan to move over to the new version though. As the tweet up above specifies, your saves won't move between Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - and multiplayer lobbies won't be cross-gen either, so this very much feels like a clean break from the last-gen version. We don't have a launch date just yet, but "more information will be available soon", says the team.
