Stalker 2 Set To Feature Two Performance Modes On Xbox Series X

Since Gamescom 2023, things have been a tad quiet on the Stalker 2 front, however a new interview has now popped up from Chinese outlet Gamersky that gives us some juicy info on this upcoming Game Pass release - including how it's going to perform on Xbox Series X.

When asked about Stalker 2's graphics and frame rate on Xbox Series X, GSC Game World dropped some early details on how the title will perform. On Microsoft's high-end console, the game will feature a Performance mode at 60FPS, and also a Quality mode. The frame rate in the Quality mode wasn't mentioned, but we'd assume GSC is aiming for 30FPS there.

It's worth noting that the team says it's still optimising final console performance and these figures could change in the run up to the game's projected 2024 launch. Also, Xbox Series S wasn't mentioned at all here, although as far as we can tell the outlet didn't ask about Microsoft's all-digital machine either.

As we alluded to earlier, the last we really heard anything concrete on Stalker 2 was during gamescom 2023. Phil Spencer and Todd Howard played the game at the convention, and we also got confirmation that the title had slipped to a 2024 Xbox Game Pass release.
