It's official! Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has been announced today as part of the PlayStation Showcase 2023, with the confirmation that it'll not only be coming to PS5, but also Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.

In addition, we're likely getting a "Master Collection" of the first three original games in autumn of this year. This would mark the debut for Metal Gear Solid (1) on an Xbox console, although for now the collection is only confirmed for PS5. The game's website mentions it'll be on "the latest platforms", so we'll keep an eye out for an Xbox announcement.

Here's what Konami had to say about the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake in a press release (thanks IGN):

"We are remaking Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, one of the most beloved installments of the Metal Gear series, revealing the origin story of Snake, as Metal Gear Solid Ξ”: Snake Eater. We are working hard for Metal Gear Solid Ξ”: Snake Eater to be a faithful recreation of the original story and game design, while evolving the gameplay with stunning visuals and a seamless user experience."

There's no date for this one just yet, but we'll obviously let you know when we get further details.
