Xbox Game Pass 'Friends & Family' Appears To Be Launching In More Regions Soon

It's been quite a while now since the Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family plan began rolling out in a testing phase to users in Ireland and Colombia, and now it looks like it's gearing up for release in a few additional regions.

Over the past few days, a few Xbox fans have noticed that the Friends & Family offer has been advertised on the Xbox app for PC, specifically in the United States and Spain. You can see an example of this below:

In addition, there's a Microsoft Store link for a "Test" one-month subscription to the Friends & Family plan.

We might be seeing this very soon, then, but how does it work? Well, the plan allows five "family members and friends" to share the cost of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for €21.99 per-month in Ireland and 49,900 COP per-month in Colombia right now, with pricing for additional regions yet to be revealed.

Here's how Microsoft describes it:

"Primary account holders can share all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate benefits with up to 4 friends or family members and enjoy hundreds of games together. Each member will enjoy a personalized experience where every account has its own gaming history, achievements, gamertag, saves, and built-in preferences. Play at the same time on console, PC, and cloud (where available). To add and remove members to your Ultimate membership go directly to account.microsoft.com and follow the easy instructions there."

We'll keep an eye out for more Friends and Family news (hopefully we'll find out more at the Developer_Direct, although this hasn't been confirmed), and in the meantime, you can check out a detailed FAQ on the Xbox website.
