This has Luke's game of the year 2023 written all over it , looks incredible ! So faithful to the original yet better in everyway so hyped can't wait
Very excited for this!!! I still remember getting up at 4am and driving 200km to pick this up on release day for GameCube
Holy *****. I haven't been this hyped for a RE game in a long time. Was a lot more faithful to the original than I expected. Leon cracking jokes? Yes, please.
Though the chainsaw bit at the end was kind of an eye roller.... oh well, I've seen worse
This looks fantastic! It's faithful to what we all remember but with enough freshness mixed in to make it feel special again. I Can't wait.
I love Capcom 😍. Code Veronica next, please.
EDIT: And please, no Mexican accent and vocabulary but Spaniard, it's Spain!
This does look great, debating whether to get it on Series X or PC now, as Xbox still hasn't embraced VR and the other modern Resident Evil games all have VR mods on PC. I'll wait and see what the performance is like on Series X before I make my decision.
Looks promising
Capcoms really decent for announcing a free upgrade from PS4 to PS5 one of the best publishers in the business
@Kaloudz I was about to reply to you about combining gems and objects to create more valuable treasure!
5 and 6 don't need any remakes. Perhaps 1 and 0? Remake 1 is one of my favourite games ever.
@Acurisur they said 4 remake will have additional PSVR content don't know what it is yet though
Nyooooooo!!! Luis is ugly now!!
But I'm still going to buy this. I can't wait until March. Everything else looks soooo good. And Ashley isn't a walking fashion disaster. lol.
The village section is intense! The remake looks better than I anticipated.
@Would_you_kindly this is an xbox site not PS please don't start stuff here
@Kaloudz Yeah, blocking with the pistol was ridiculous. How he cut down those big wooden posts like they where made out of chocolate cake was almost worse to me though. The chainsaw must have 200hp and spin up to 250000RPM!
@Ashadelo what are you talking about I'm not 'starting' anything calm down
@Would_you_kindly Ah nice. But I'd have to buy a PS5 plus the PSVR2, which a lot of money just for one VR game. I'll stick with my Quest 2 I think as Meta already have the Quest 3 in the pipeline which will be using a more powerful processor than the PSVR2 (SnapDragon XR2+ which made it's debut on the Quest Pro).
I'm sure the PC VR mod will be worth the wait.
@Ashadelo He was just making a statement — he didn’t start anything. Your comment was unnecessary.
I’m a huge fan of the series but I was upset they decided to remake this instead of Code Veronica. I’m glad I got a chance to see some more gameplay as I’m now looking forward to this one. It’s a bit darker and grittier than the original. I’ll be playing this for sure next year.
I don’t like the new resident evil games (7 and village) but this… sign me up! remakes were amazing, I even enjoyed RE3 more than I anticipated. I wonder if Ashley will be more active this time.
yeah but it has censorship to the women dress. ashley now wears jacket instead of just her orange sweater. ada wong not wearing her usual sexy red dress
@Clankylad I doubt they will would love it if they did though that's one of my favourite video game lines 😂
This looks like its worth getting excited for! They are on a roll....
@Kaloudz I played Code Veronica briefly on a friend's Dreamcast and many years later on Xbox. The Xbox version includes those little extras, like 4 on Xbox that includes the little extras of the re-releases and 5 and 6 on Xbox One, that include the DLC of the previous generation. In short, Capcom always includes the extras in the latest release.
Billy and Rebecca are interesting characters. I also loved The Umbrella Chronicles where a lot of tiny story bits were added. Yes, it removes many elements because it's a greatest hits formula but I'm talking about little things like Rebecca's nightmare. The Darkside Chronicles developed the Code Veronica story with modern graphics making its story even more fascinating. Code Veronica really needs to be remade now.
I love Richard, too, a character that is easy to identify with.
@Moto5 200km? Was this normal back in the day?
@Kaloudz And also, the PS2 version of RE4 was technically worse than the GameCube version but had the extra content so you couldn't get the definitive version even having both consoles and discs.
They are on-rails shooters, yes. They have optional chapters and a lot of files to unlock.
Richard Aiken overcame his fears and saved Rebecca in Resident Evil 0-1! They have realistic conversations in The Umbrella Chronicles when both are trying to stay strong.
@Kaloudz If you can get a cheap Wii or Wii U, I would recommend both games. Perhaps, you can play them on a PC with a Wii Remote somehow (Dolphin). They're also another way to experience the story of Resident Evil quickly. Besides, the menu music of The Umbrella Chronicles is a masterpiece! They are two of the few Wii games I still replay sometimes.
@Kaloudz Cool, you won't regret playing them!
