If you've been looking for something like Animal Crossing to play on your Xbox Series X|S, Hokko Life might be the perfect game.
It draws inspiration from Nintendo's popular lifestyle and social sim - dropping the player into a village filled with all sorts of animals. From here, it's up to them to socialise, craft and even design everything in the town.
It'll be released on Xbox on 27th September, and will come packed with all the features from the Steam version. The Steam release is still currently in Early Access but was originally made available in June last year. Hokko Life will also be getting a release on the Switch and PlayStation.

Inspired is putting it mildly. Lol. It DOES look like a next-gen AC tho. The farming mechanics look intriguing and thankfully this time my daughter won't have to steal my Switch for 2 months before she gets tired of it.
A "clone" that looks better than the original, now that's a first
What happened to that game DokV? Everybody loved how that looked…and then we all forgot about it
Game Pass Day 1
@Bleachedsmiles DokeV is still in development. They never gave a release date, thought a few people speculated 2022. I suspect like most games recently it's taking longer than expected.
Looks fantastic, but Animal crossing will not be moving over anytime soon. It's about to cross 40 million (the switch version)
Looks sharp! I have about 450 hours on ACNH. Still have done DLC to work through, but it’s getting close to the end for me with the game. This might be a good game to try.
@Bleachedsmiles You mean that creepy game where you dress up 5 yr olds? I think there's a reason nobody is talking about it.
One problem with ACNH is that the chat responses from the other residents repeat, and they are shared between residents of the same personality type which means that even swapping residents doesnt help. The only review I have seen of the Steam version which talks about speech is a year old and says that the villagers are kind of boring except for the rude ones - would love to see more info on just how good the interaction with villagers is long term.
Thats the problem with these games that get compared to ACNH: the reviews end up really shallow - even people who have claimed to have spent hours with ACNH write shallow reviews. How often did I read that Cozy Grove is like ACNH but as soon as you play it, you find out it isn't - no personality to the residents, no ability to move houses or landscape etc. Shallow comparisons. That put me off other clones.
