Sniper Elite 5 has been a big hit on Xbox Game Pass, although as normal in this day and age, its launch hasn't been without issues. Most of these have been minor so far though, and developer Rebellion is already at work ironing out the kinks.
Patch 1.05 is now live for Sniper Elite 5, and it focuses on some early community concerns involving crashes and audio problems. Here are the full patch notes:
- Fixed several missing sounds - most notably the big guns in 'Atlantic Wall'
- Fixed crash during checkpoint load
- Fixed occasional crash that occurred when loading onto AMP maps
- Fixed occasional crash that occurred on the Survival results screen
- Fixed crash that occurred when shooting the Machine Gun Team 'Leader' then the 'Gunner' in quick succession.
If you noticed any of these issues during your Sniper Elite 5 playthrough on Xbox Game Pass, they should now be fixed as the patch is live on all platforms.

Maybe they have fixed the authentic glitch
@Kooky_Daisuke I have no idea what you are talking about in terms of close quarter combat. I’ve done sniping in every mission, even in stages that seem more close quartered. I haven’t gotten caught or even noticed. Yes, some stages are more closed in than others, but the game provides ways around that to do sniping. So, either you’re rushing through the game and not taking your time, or you’re just not that good at it.
Additionally - even though it is a “sniping” game, it’s also a stealth game. Why not make use of all the other tools it gives you to perform stealth? Those moments are awesome and fun.
I think the 9/10 review here is spot on. For me, this might be my GOTY, even over Elden Ring, in which I platinumed.
I've been playing through... but not in sneaky mode... considering it can take in excess of 150 kills to clear a mission this way but so much fun.
Once I've unlocked all weapons I'll consider stealth mode
Good to see they're working on it. I've only played the first mission, but did run into a few bugs such as getting stuck on scenery and needing to re-load a save. Plus the silent cannon which makes it tricky to time covering sounds.
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but are guards supposed to care about you blowing up that gun? I was expecting all hell to break loose, but they were still milling around drinking coffee as the thing they're guarding went up in flames. Though if I so much as step on a twig I'm toast.
There's a lot more bugs to consider than just them. Enemies disappear threw walls after a stealth take down, then the enemy spots them on the other side.I see no difference from the Italia game but I'm relying enjoying it. 8 out of 10 for me when all the bugs are fixed.
Still in the first mission, taking my time, few hours in , not experienced any issues yet, but great that they are squashing the bugs. Love the game so far.
