New Crash Bandicoot Game Reportedly Set To Be Announced This Week

A week of E3-style events is upon us, capped off with the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase this coming Sunday, and one of the games that is expected to be announced over the next few days is a new Crash Bandicoot game.

This is according to Windows Central's Jez Corden on the latest episode of the Windows Central Gaming podcast, where he let slip that the project is supposedly some kind of multiplayer brawler from developer Toys For Bob:

"New Crash? I wonder where you got that information from? I wasn't supposed to leak that."

"I think we could see a new Crash Bandicoot, and not only is it gonna be a new Crash Bandicoot, it's gonna be a multiplayer Crash Bandicoot... It's like a four-player brawler almost, but Crash oriented."

It was suggested during the discussion that this might be the long-rumoured "Wumpa League" game, but Corden advised it isn't called that, although he couldn't recall the official title during the podcast.

The fact that it's a "four-player brawler" type game appears to suggest it's not a remake of PS1 multiplayer title Crash Bash as some fans have hoped, but nevertheless it should be interesting to see what Toys For Bob has come up with.
