We've been hearing about The Lord of the Rings: Gollum for some time — since its announcement in 2019 in fact — but finally, we have a new release date folks! The upcoming LOTR adventure will hit Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on September 1st.
We've seen snippets of Gollum since its announcement, but nothing major since it was revealed that publisher Nacon had bought the development studio, and given the timing of this announcement, we'd expect some fresh gameplay at one of the many upcoming summer showcases.
Of course, that could be the Xbox & Bethesda showcase, but there's plenty going on elsewhere, including the Summer Game Fest of course. Wherever Gollum shows up, hopefully we get to see a big chunk of what developer Daedelic Entertainment is building.

Nope, seriously saw the trailer last year , didn't appeal to me at all,love lord of the rings but just don't want to play as Gollum, hope I'm wrong and its great
lotr is epic but playing as the main character as gollum is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. No one has ever said they wanted to be gollum....the sales for this game will be hilarious
