SoulCalibur 1 & 2 Seem To Have Been Delisted On The Xbox Store

The 'digital age' strikes again, as a couple more Xbox games appear to have been delisted from the online storefront. GVG's Jon Cartwright spotted that neither SoulCalibur, or its sequel SoulCalibur II, are available anymore directly from Xbox, despite both being backwards compatible on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

We also did a little digging, to find forum posts discussing this matter a few months ago, along with a posted on Delisted Games. It seems Bandai Namco stealth removed these two games from the Xbox Store earlier this year, or maybe even before that, and now more folks are beginning to notice.

This is a bit of a bummer to be honest, and we hope the publisher comes out to explain why they're unavailable, or even relists them for players to enjoy. However, there is a workaround here in the UK for one of the two games at least.

If you were planning on picking these up sometime, SoulCalibur 2 is available to purchase, digitally, from GAME. The retailer is selling codes at £15.99 a pop, and while we can't guarantee these codes will work for sure on Xbox when redeemed, this is apparently how Jon in the tweet above eventually managed to get the game to install.

As for direct purchases, we're out of luck for now. We'll be keeping an eye out to see if these return to the store in the coming weeks and months.
