Assassin's Creed Origins Game Pass

Assassin's Creed Origins hits Xbox Game Pass early next month, and it's looking like next-gen fans might get another boost as well. PlayStation Game Size on Twitter has spotted a backend update to Origins that "enabled higher framerate" when running on next-gen.

Of course, given the Twitter profile, this is referencing the PlayStation 5 version, but that same boost should apply to Xbox Series X|S. If the backend update is accurate, the boost is set to arrive between May 24th-26th. So, as early as tomorrow!

Having said that, that's still a couple of weeks away from the game pass launch, so even if the date isn't 100% accurate, Ubisoft has ample time to apply the update before the game hits the library. After all, the company said it was looking into a 60fps update for Origins about six months ago now!

Both Assassin's Creed Origins and For Honor: Marching Fire Edition hit Xbox Game Pass in June. The updated For Honor release is June 1st, and then Origins hits the service on June 7th.
