Valve's Portal series is some of the company's best work, and after the release of the first and second game, it's left fans hungry for more. Will Valve ever make a third game in the series?

During an interview with the podcast Kiwi Talkz last weekend, Portal and Half-Life writer, Erik Wolpaw, noted how he would definitely be up for 'Portal 3' but it's going to take some fan support. He even suggested emailing Valve's boss Gabe Newell about it.

Here's exactly what he had to say:

"I'd work on another Portal in a second, but I can't do it by myself...I can't make it happen by myself...

"We’ve gotta start Portal 3, that's my message... anything you can do let's do it let's just make it happen, cause I am also not getting any younger like we are reaching the point where it's crazy to think, literally gonna be too old to work on Portal 3, so we should just do it - and Desk Job is fun - if you like Desk Job send mail to Gabe tell him you want some Portal 3... "

While Valve's games are typically associated with PC, Portal was made available within The Orange Box collection on Xbox 360 and was followed by the release of Portal 2 on the same platform.
