During the Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary broadcast, Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts IV. No platforms or release dates have been revealed yet, but Xbox does have some history with this series.

No delay for Xbox I hope but I guess it depends where Square-Enix is when this finally comes out. Can’t wait - one of my favourite series of all time.
Can’t decide if the graphic’s look good or out of place. Not the right move for next gen animation graphics anyway, I would have liked to see them use more Pixar style and quality than photorealism.
Square being square again I guess lol…
Oh hey, the first game I know will be out when I'm in my 40's has been announced! Hell, perhaps even my 50's. Exciting times!
@Mince I assume it's because the world Sora is in is the "real world", so the graphics are supposed to be realistic. But once he gets back to his own world they'll become cartoony again.
@LtSarge yeah makes sense, to be honest I’ve not played enough kingdom hearts to comment about real world, it’s a series that has plague my backlog for too long now.
The graphic look great just seemed out of place. Either way I’m still eager for another game I’m likely not going to play for a while still need to play some of 2.5 then 2.8 and 3.
The game looks great, but knowing Square Enix I can't get too excited being an Xbox user. Wouldn't be surprised if they revealed it's PS only...
I'm not sure if this will come to Xbox though? FF7 Remake hasn't even come to Xbox still. Square Enix are more in Sony camp than Microsoft.
@Snake_V5 But we did get the last few kingdom hearts games and also the remixes. But you are right with square enix being in Sony side with all the final Fantasy games. But stranger of paradise came to Xbox so it kinda hard to tell what gonna happen,
It’s crazy to me how much Sora looks like Noctis now. I really do hope this comes to Xbox
@Royalblues what exactly is scummy about it , is it scummy that Microsoft bought zenimax ? Is it scummy they're in the process of buying Activision ? , Is it scummy they paid for exclusivity of dead rising , timed exclusivity of games like the medium , I'm not here to defend Sony but let's not pretend that Nintendo , Microsoft & Sony aren't all making these deals because they're competing against eachother

Highly likely Sony will money-hat Squeenix on this, just a short period of exclusivity, say two years 🙄. Or worse, keep it full exclusive like FF7 remake and FF16.....scumbags.

@Sol4ris I'm not arguing I'm simply saying it's ridiculous to get mad over Sony making exclusivity deals & not get mad that Microsoft does the exact same thing
Since there's a lot of talk about Sony, i don't know if they're gonna try to keep the game from coming to Xbox but you can bet your life savings they'll do everything in their power to keep it out of Game Pass.
There was a time when this would have made me so happy, but both the long wait and narrative incoherence of KH3 has soured this series for me.
All the characters arcs have all been flogged to death at this point. It’s like a TV series in its tenth season, well past its prime, and scrambling to find new worthwhile material.
It needs a brand new direction.
Not sure how to feel about the gameplay just yet, but as someone who really didn’t like Kingdom Hearts 3, I’m not confident on this one. I feel like the franchise has lost most of its charm a long time ago.
