Skull&bones2

Skull & Bones has been stuck in development hell for quite a while now. However, recent reports have been more positive, and now, finally, players can go hands on, albeit in a limited capacity.

Ubisoft is opening up an insider program for its pirate adventure, and applications are live. If you fancy a crack at Skull & Bones mid-development, bugs and all, you can look at signing up here.

The French game maker says that the player pool for this round of testing will be small, and that players should expect issues. The main goal, like most early game testing, is to gather data and feedback for future iterations of the game.

As for the game itself, we're not entirely sure what Skull & Bones is. When it was first revealed, it looked like an Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag spin-off, but it's been so long since we've seen anything on it, it may well look quite different in 2022. Hopefully, we'll see more on it soon.
