As CD Projekt Red has literally just announced a new Witcher game, all eyes will understandably be on that. However, snuck in at the bottom of its Witcher blog post is a reminder that Cyberpunk 2077 DLC is still coming.
Yep, CD Projekt says that there's an upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion to be revealed, and that it will continue to use the team's REDengine rather than Unreal 5, which the next Witcher will switch over to.
Curiously, the message only mentions one expansion, so we're not entirely sure if any more will arrive later down the line, as initially planned. Here's what the Polish developer had to say:
Simultaneously with these announcements, CD PROJEKT RED also provided confirmation that REDengine, the technology which powers Cyberpunk 2077, is still being used for the development of the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion.
It's been a long road towards Cyberpunk 2077 DLC. The game launched in a less-than-stellar state, which put expansion development on hold while CD Projekt ironed out the game's kinks.
Then, of course, development began on the game's next-gen port, which has only just arrived. Thankfully, this version proved a huge improvement on the last-gen release, as we detailed in our hands on review.
Are you still looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077 DLC? Or has that ship sailed? Let us know below.

Hopefully this will be tested before release and be in a playable state. They have had enough time.
This expansion will be doing the Space heist at the Crystal Palace casino if you got the best ending. I'm not sure what else they could do apart from the cut Jackie missions.
I did like the main game even if it took 14 months to be fixed.
Can't wait. Hope it is big!
If the entire expansion consisted of removing
'NOCTURNE OP55N1
-Meet Hanako at Embers'
I'd be pretty happy.
Done everything else in the main game, so looking forward to the expansion once it launches.
Finished it at the weekend and enjoyed it a lot, although I got a bit of a downer ending. Look forward to seeing new content.
Beat it today as well for the 2nd time after the updates. VERY good game, especially post patch, looking forward to seeing what the expansion is going to be like.
I started it for the first time after the next gen version released. I liked it overall but had to put it aside for Elden Ring. I still plan to get back to it though. Maybe after Elden Ring...assuming there is an end to Elden Ring.
Cyberpunk still can't pass for a game from 2010 and they're out there talking about an expansion and announcing a new Witcher game.
Excited to hear more about this. Ignoring the pre-launch marketing/hype and absolutely unacceptable performance at launch, patch 1.5 made Cyberpunk 2077 a fantastic game. Such a great universe and I can't wait for there to be more to delve into.
