Happy New Year! 2022 has officially arrived, and we're looking forward to another incredibly busy twelve months for Xbox, with the likes of Starfield, Redfall, Stalker 2 and many other high-profile releases on the way this year.
Looking back, 2021 was a great year for Xbox, with Game Pass easily having its best 12 months so far, and first-party titles such as Halo Infinite, Psychonauts 2 and Forza Horizon 5 all living up to expectations (and then some).
It was also a hectic one for us here at Pure Xbox, with the team putting out over 4,400 news articles, features, guides, reviews, talking points, polls and more over the course of the year. We're preparing for our biggest year yet in 2022, and I'm pleased to reveal that our new Staff Writer, Ben Kerry, will be joining us in the next few days. Exciting stuff!
Once again, thank you for your loyal support in 2021 — none of this would be possible without it.

Happy New Year all. This is the year I'm gonna get a series x console either through all access or just by buying it in one go.
I have a goal in the mean time. Finish up any game that isn't forwards compatible. I only have around ten. Some are short eg Ecco the Dolphin while others are longer eg Sleeping Dogs but I feel its a good goal.
My 360 broke down last month and I bought a new one but who knows how long it will last.
I have lego star wars on preorder but will change it to xbox if I have the new console by then.
About a year and a half ago, I was all for getting a ps5 until I realised Microsoft really is doing better. Free upgrades, making it clear they support both generations compared to Sony who seemingly changed their mind at the last minute and have put almost all big games on ps4 too. And the console design is awful. Its way too big and unappealing.
So Series X all the way. Roll on Plague Tale 2, Lego SW and Hogwarts Legacy.

I really hope I get to play something on my series X that really blows me away in term of visuals and gameplay in 2022. Starfield is the one I have my eye on but hopefully there are other surprises too.
Happy new year everyone, 2021 was great, got a series S, switch OLED and playstation 5 and played some amazing games, but 2022 is looking an absolute beast so far though more so for playstation and nintendo. Hopefully xbox have some surprises in store and starfield releases on time and in good condition as that's "the" xbox game for me this year

It would be great to see 'gamers' united instead of divided by fanboyism as together, we are a strong voice to the industry. We have the 'power' to make positive change - Stand up against 'bad' practices (like harassment, inequality, MTX/NFT's, broken/poor state of games on release etc). Its 'difficult' to stand up against harassment etc when the 'fanboys' are guilty of doing the same!
