Stock is limited and when it is available it often sells out incredibly fast. With this in mind, the Microsoft Store in Australia has received a new batch of systems - priced at $749.00 AUD.
To secure one, you'll have to head over to Microsoft's official website and complete the order. Stock is limited to one system per person.

Great news. I for one are pretty happy with my Series S at the moment. Perhaps an upgrade to the X somewhere down the track.
In the UK we need more series x in stock
We have too many series s always in stock.
We keep getting tens of thousands of PS5 stock dropping.
I thought the PS5 would be harder to produce overall and Microsoft would have more manufacturing clout, but I’m beginning to believe maybe not.
The PS5 has sold more consoles world wide than the series x, as both sell out it shows Sony are in better shape manufacturing wise than myself and the internet thought.
With manufacturing in mind and exclusive game releases, Microsoft need to get their act together more and get in the groove more.
I have a series x and two years GPU, so not at Sony fanboy flame baiting.
Just a business guy, thinking what is this Trillion dollar company doing.
@Xiovanni Don't worry, there appears to be no available stock on the NZ store.
My first post on this site. Thank you for letting us know. Managed to order a Series X 😊
@Dezzy70 Actually no one will know how many Xbox Series consoles are selling, because Microsoft does not release that information fact. So don't believe a word anyone tells you about PS5 outselling the Xbox Series globally as they do not know.
Also they are trying their best for restocking, they just sell out very fast!
@S1ayeR74 You're right that Microsoft do not release sales data. But there are enough industry and retail insiders leaking that data to provide a pretty clear picture that Series X|S is well behind on sales globally.
And that's not a huge criticism. I DO believe that this boxes sold metric, in an age of Game Pass, cloud and subscriptions, is less important to Microsoft's business model than it is to Sony's, so shouldn't be compared, as it's not a good indicator of their business model's success.
However as @Dezzy70 said the fact that Series S is readily available in many territories, is telling that something isn't going as planned. (Especially when the more expensive PS5 digital doesn't have the same issue)
As is the fact that 7 months into a new console generation we still haven't had a first party exclusive... this has never happened before in any major console release and we should reasonably expect more.
Personally I love my Series X, Game Pass and have no doubt that in time, hopefully soon, the exclusives will start to come and then will continue to drop steadily - I believe in their long term plan. But for now I agree with @Dezzy70 that Microsoft needed to get their act together a bit more, and a little sooner.
@themightyant So apparent ‘insiders’ eh? are these Microsoft sales employees, at high management levels so they have access to that sensitive company information then? I doubt it… I wouldn’t believe a word any of these so called ‘insiders’ claim. Sorry but it’s a flawed argument and is only personal opinion to claim one is outselling the other, because their is no factual information on at least one of the consoles sales.
@S1ayeR74 Choose to believe it or not, up to you, but several industry analysts and insiders have all said exactly the same thing, and we know how good the games industry is at keeping secrets...
Analysts like Ampere do this for a living and will have access to their own data and inside information. Remember most consoles are sold at retail and even if Microsoft don't release figures themselves, or they don't have a contact there, they can access retail figures through other channels and extrapolate.
All of that goes well beyond personal opinion, it's been reported through several different channels, and is widely accepted.
Regardless none of it is surprising, and as I said it also doesn't matter that much, boxes sold is no longer Microsoft's primary aim.
@themightyant
You can also go by the number of reviews on a shop website, I know it’s rough but it gives an indication the PS5 is making more consoles than series x as both sell out. Also I know more PS5 owners than Series X. Even though I have a Series X.
Being an honest Series X owner I don’t really care but I’m not surprised as Sony get the games out. With Returnal and Ratchet and Clank being the latest 2. Also the launch with Games.
Hopefully Microsoft will kick into first gear very soon as at the end of the day it’s new and exclusive games that will sell the console not game pass on its own. The fact series s consoles are sitting on the shelf’s in UK, is starting to tell that story about new AAA games are definitely required. 7 months with none from a trillion Dollar company is a joke really.
@Dezzy70 Agreed. There are many other forms of data e.g. Google trends and other similar mindshare services all suggest the same as well. https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?q=xbox%20series,ps5
In isolation any of the anecdotal data may be useless but in conjunction and when it all tells the same story, the overall picture is pretty clear.
Whether Microsoft release stats or not there is more than enough evidence from ALL the sources put together to confidently say PS5 is significantly outselling XB Series S|X, that isn't just personal opinion.
Although it's important to note that as we are supply constrained and both XSX and both PS5s all sell out within minutes all the figures currently tell you is who has made consoles faster.
Lastly while I agree that MS should have done more earlier - they are still recovering from so many internal studios shuttering or shrinking - For me Game Pass alone is propping up that shortfall. And combined with a lot of the pro-consumer choices they have made Xbox is generally in a great place, that will get better.
@themightyant
Yes I think Xbox is in a good ok place right now, but it needs to be a spring board very soon into more. If they want greater market share to sell more game pass, then selling more consoles can sell more game pass, so let’s not underestimate the importance of selling more consoles.
Like I always say if Series consoles had sold say 20 million by now, phill and team would be lighting up the cigars and game pass membership would have increased.
They need a very good fall release of AAA games big hitters and to follow that up say in April 2022 with another.
@Dezzy70 Game Pass membership HAS increased significantly in the last 6+ months, but I take your point regardless.
And if Xbox was outselling the competition, or even coming close, they would be trumpeting those numbers but as I said they don't need to.
Agree box sales are important, just less important to Microsoft than Sony. Their model is more setup towards Game Pass subscriptions now and spread users across Console, PC and Cloud. The last, while just getting started and not of AS much interest here on an enthusiast website has the potential to really disrupt other segments of the market in time.
Fingers crossed for E3 and beyond!
@themightyant
Really looking forward to E3 June the 13th 6pm
Getting hopeful for Halo release date and Forza Horizon 5 reveal and realise date, both 2021.
That’s enough for the over crowded Christmas games market, then save a couple of games for release March and July 2022, spreading them out and keeping interest and momentum moving forward.
@themightyant Are those the same analysts who predicted the Switch Pro would be announced today… yeah they are just paid guess workers. And you have no idea what sales information is available to them, most of it will literally be educated guessing, which is still guessing and personal opinions with no facts at the end of the day. So no I won’t believe them thank you.
@S1ayeR74 A healthy dose of scepticism is always sensible. And you are right it is partly educated guesswork, but the key word there is educated. As Microsoft won't provide accurate sales data, understandably because it could have been used to show them in a bad light, this is what we have to go with. The analysts will also have retail numbers from some retail channels, it's not pure guesswork.
However when all the evidence, from many differing sources, points in the same direction it paints a pretty clear picture. While a healthy dose of scepticism is sensible, it gets to a stage where ignoring all the evidence becomes wilful ignorance, whether we are there or not is of course subjective.
@Dezzy70 Yep super excited by E3 this year. 90 mins of Microsoft should be fantastic, though trying to keep expectations firmly in check!
@themightyant
Well we had good stock drop of Series X at Game UK today about 8am. By 9am when everyone woke up and realised they sold out.
They just need to make more series x, it seems to very popular in the UK, the series s not so much but does sell, but very slowly. Also scalping in the UK of series x is about zero, so we also know it’s gamers buying them all.
They have a good momentum at the minute and need a very good e3 with some Christmas exclusives, big hitters AAA pushing into next year as well.
