If you've been craving a game like Amped or 1080° on your Xbox Series X|S, Shredders by Foam Punch might just be it.
It's touted as a new snowboarding game "for riders, by riders" and is coming first to Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass this December. It's "full of hand-sculpted parks, urban environments, and off-piste adventures… an open world just waiting to be shredded," and multiplayer is baked into the experience so you can compete, shred together with friends, or take on a journey of your own - "it’s up to you."
"With Shredders, we have tried to build a snowboarding experience that allows you to define your own style. In snowboarding there are so many incredible ways to do a simple 180 and Shredders gives you that level of control. Carving, buttering, and the sensation of floating on fresh powder all feels amazing.
Conceptually we are trying to keep the convention of one thumb stick for the board and one stick for the body, and directly map that onto the snowboarder. This gives you a lot of freedom in your play style, so you can choose to be smooth and lazy, or if you’d prefer to go fast and aggressive, you can change up your style whenever you want."
There's also an official website where players can sign up to get "big news" when it drops. What are your initial impressions of this one? Leave a comment down below.

Steep without brand appeal or a misguided GaaS MMO thing... Cool, I guess?
Not enough to get me to upgrade but I will keep my ear to the ground. Last gen had no good offline/single player snowboarding games. Hope it has decent customization.
@Ryu_Niiyama Yeah last gen was a total disappointment with the lack of any extreme sports games, we've been desperately needing a decent snowboarding game. Steep was okay but it was sort of a jack of all trades and master of none.
If this functions offline and isn't a live service game I'm pretty hyped. I do sorely miss the lack of extreme sports games these days.
Sounds and looks good! I’ve tried a few games since Amped 1/2, but starting with Amped 3 they all got a bit nonsensical … not my cup of tea. I mean, I enjoyed Tony Hawk and TransWorld Snowboarding (etc), where you could do one huge combo all the way down from the top. But really, nah, I’d rather absorb the illusion of crisp snow. Fall if the board cuts in a bit too harsh. Do tricks without magical sparkling otherworldly effects. Hyped! Fingers crossed that they add ⛷ as well.
I miss snowboarding games. Hoping this one is fun.
