Evil Dead: The Game just received its gameplay reveal, and you know what - It looks pretty decent. Filled with gory action and humorous kills, it's set to arrive on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S sometime later this year.
The gameplay is voiced by Evil Dead legend, Bruce Campbell, who you will also be able to play as in the game. As a team of survivors, you'll battle the monstrous undead with chainsaws, boomsticks, and even shovels to decapitate deadites. You can even control the monsters yourself to stop the good guys in PvP combat.
Numerous locales from the series will be included, such as the infamous Knowby cabin from the movies. Over 25 weapons will be available, and players can level up their characters through a variety of skill trees.
Inspired by the iconic horror, humour, and action of the "Evil Dead" universe, Evil Dead: The Game brings the biggest characters together from the franchise in an over-the-top, gore-filled experience against the forces of darkness. Work as a team of four survivors, including Ash, Kelly Maxwell, Pablo Simon Bolivar, Scotty, Lord Arthur and more, to fight Deadites, banish the vile Kandarian Demon. Or become the mighty Demon yourself, using your powers of possession to stop the good guys dead and swallow their souls!
While there's no release date, more gameplay episodes are promised for the coming months. No doubt we'll hear more information as we come closer to release, but it could make for a super fun Halloween title.
