You can now begin downloading the second batch of April 2021's Xbox Live Games With Gold titles (one day early!), which are the Xbox One game Truck Racing Championship and Xbox 360 game Hard Corps: Uprising. Both titles are available right now from the Microsoft Store and Xbox 360 Marketplace (links at the bottom of the page).
Here's what you can look forward to:
Truck Racing Championship (April 16 - May 15)
The only official simulation that features all the unique characteristics of the ETRC and offers all racing fans a completely new driving experience: race a giant 5-tonne, 1,000-horsepower truck against 12 competitors while respecting the race rules to avoid penalties.
Hard Corps: Uprising (April 16 - 30):
Thrilling retro run-and-gun action is back with a vengeance in Hard Corps: Uprising, a 2D side-scroller developed by ARC System Works that pays homage to classic Konami action series. Battle in the grueling trenches of Arcade mode, or the all-new Rising mode, where a point system allows you to purchase items and upgrades to help you achieve ultimate victory. Partner with a friend to lay down some serious carnage.
You can download both games from the following links over at the Microsoft Store:

GWG is obsolete with gamepass around..
Never played Hard Corps Uprising, but I absolutely loved Contra, Super C, the one on the Game Boy, Hard Corps, and Contra 4. Is this similar in quality to those titles?
@Bmartin001 Not really. GWG titles, as far as I understand (I've been out of the Xbox loop for a while), can be played whenever if you redeem them in time. Game Pass titles are available for a limited time and then are gone.
It's the reason I've stayed subbed to PS+. Even if I don't play the additions to the service right away, they'll be available to play down the road.
These are actually really good games.
@SegataSanshiro Yeah Truck Racing Championship is fantastic when you make the right adjustments, be sure to set the brake cooling to auto because that's pretty much just there for the people who are real enthusiasts of the sport. The license test is kind of annoying to get through, but once you're past that the game really opens up and it's a lot of fun.
@SegataSanshiro Yeah that's what I love about these games, it's really easy to tailor them for your preferred playstyle. I usually like to have anti-lock brakes, no traction or stability control, and manual shifting. For the track I prefer using baking indicators over the constant racing line thing, and I like having the hud completely disabled. Makes these games really immersive for me, especially since I tend to favor the cockpit view. With this I got the added brake cooling since that seems to be unique to truck racing, and it's generally something I don't want to have to think about. For the shifting I just always setup it for RB and LB, I'm just always comfortable playing these games that way.
As for the license tests, I think they were more tedious for me than anything. Then again I am a seasoned racing sim veteran so I generally don't need a tutorial on how to race, but if you aren't used to these games I'm sure it could prove very useful.
