Where Ghostrunner had us wall running with swords, Severed Steel will have us zipping and sliding around the arena with some devastating firepower. The game is looking to be a great companion piece, and set to arrive on Xbox One sometime this Summer, developer Greylock Studio has announced.

The upcoming first-person shooter is all about building and maintaining momentum, as players dodge bullets, fling weapons, and spray an onslaught of bullets on enemies. All of this transpires while sliding around on carts, down flights of stairs, and a variety of other parkour moves. It seems pretty exhilarating, especially in slow motion segments that look inspired from iconic films such as The Matrix.

Severed Steel is a single-player first-person shooter featuring a fluid stunt system, destructible voxel environments, loads of bullet time, and a unique one-armed protagonist. It’s you, your trigger finger, and a steel-toed boot against a superstructure full of bad guys. Chain together wall runs, dives, flips, and slides to take every last enemy down.”

It’s definitely not one for the faint of heart, but its beautiful neon art style is a sight to behold. We don’t have a confirmed date as of yet, but you can be sure we’ll update you as soon as we have some more concrete info.
