UK Boxed Charts: Assassin's Creed Valhalla Beats Cyberpunk 2077 To Christmas No. 1

The Christmas No. 1 has officially been crowned in the UK boxed charts, and that honour goes to Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which was the top selling physical game in the region over the past week.

According to, the game enjoyed a 66% increase in sales due to recent discounts, while CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 dropped by around 80%, which isn't hugely unusual, but was likely impacted by its recent negative press.

Elsewhere, Immortals Fenyx Rising and Watch Dogs: Legion jumped up the charts to 12th and 14th, enjoying 107% and 98% increases in sales respectively. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War only just failed to secure the No. 1 spot, which marks the first time the Black Ops sub-series has failed to achieve that feat.
