After releasing on numerous other systems, Panzer Dragoon: Remake is finally swooping onto Xbox next week.
Announced via its official Twitter page, the game will be arriving on Xbox One (and through Xbox Series X|S by backwards compatibility), bringing the iconic game back to life with a new coat of paint.
For those that don't know, Panzer Dragoon is an on-rail shooter that tasks you to pilot numerous dragons equipped with powerful guns. The remake aims to deliver improved controls and lock-on targeting. An official store listing states:
"A new, remade version of the Panzer Dragoon game – true to the original, with improved graphics and controls, that suit modern gaming standards! On a far, lone planet, you encounter two dragons awaken from the ancient times. Armed with a deadly gun from the past, and the guidance of your armored blue dragon, you must fulfill your destiny and keep the Prototype Dragon from reaching the Tower or die trying."
Our sister site Nintendo Life reviewed the title earlier this year, describing it as a "decent take on an all-time classic that goes some way to modernising it, but doesn't quite nail the landing". It seems like a game that fans of the original will greatly appreciate, while others may struggle to get into its niche gameplay.
