Last week was a huge week for boxed sales in the UK following the release of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on November 10th, and the best-selling title of the week was Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, 40% of Assassin's Creed Valhalla's sales came on Xbox, with 42% on PS4 and 18% on PS5. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War found itself in second place following its release on November 13th, with the Xbox One version selling 34% and the Xbox Series-only version selling 9%.
Elsewhere, Yakuza: Like A Dragon debuted in 20th place, Planet Coaster: Console Edition arrived in 17th, NBA 2K21 re-entered at 31st, and Dirt 5 disappointingly dropped out of the Top 40 entirely.
Here's a look at the top ten all formats chart for the week ending November 14th:

Did I miss the information - it doesn't say the split between Series X/S and One X/S the way it does with the PS4 and PS5. Would be interested in how the split was between last gen and new gen. Quite amusing that the split for PS5 was 18% when it's not even out yet! Shows the number of people with the game and not the console.
@StonyKL Unfortunately there's no data on that - there's just one 'Xbox' SKU for AC: Valhalla, so we don't know how the figures are broken up for Xbox One and Series X/S.
@StonyKL AC: Valhalla for Xbox only has one version. You can use that same version for the Series X/S to play an enhanced game. I think only Microsoft will be able to track how many people have been playing AC: Valhalla on their Series X/S instead of the Xbox One.
Microsoft and Ubisoft will know the exact split for sure. At least of the played and digital copies, people buying a physycal copy and adding it to a shelf backlog are obviously impossible to count, but once purchased digitally, I'm sure Ubisoft gets numbers as to what device type it was bought from.
I would not exoect MS to ever reveal these numbers, sice they don't care to talk about hardware counts.
Don't recall Ubisoft being the kind of company that likes to share those numbers either. Eventually we might see some publisher, most likely an indie, come out and say how their game is being played next gen over prev gen.
Lol 18% on ps5 even though its not out for another week, also 40% of sales on xbox but doesn't say how much of that percent is for the series S/X consoles.
@UltimateOtaku91
People will have pre-ordered games for their console.
The games came out the same day as US launch, but obviously people are waiting 1 week later for the actual console.
Not very good signs for Demon's Souls either. No 6 and yet it's one of the very few 'next-gen only' exclusives. Wonder if they will pick up next week?
