Moon Studios do be smashing expectations tho
That 6K 60fps is going to make my 1080p TV explode with such supersampled clarity.
One of the games of the year. First game I will play on Series X.
The optimisations they learned while miraculously optimising this for 60fps on Switch have helped here. Being good in the gaming community has come back with benefits.
Moon Studios as usual with a very talented engineering team. They have done a lot of custom engine work for Switch port and now this.
Microsoft should not let go of this talent.
4K 60FPS on Series S is insane!!!
I'll play in 1080p fps, but at least I will try this 4K mode.
Moon studios is doing a great job already on the new gen consoles.
Not really a surprise, its still a decent GPU and shouldn't be a million miles away from the One X. These comparatively less demanding games should always be likely to get to 4K on the S
Microsoft should buy and add them to their studio teams.
Never played these games but they are on my gamepass list for series X arrival. They look incredible.
@Senua
I agree. Microsoft needs to scoop up Moon Studios. Post haste.
Very good news. I expected the odd 4k game, but this is impressive. It's a Unity engine game too.
@Dezzy70
Once again.....agreed!
@KelticDevil
I also fancy Playtonic as well they could bring some great exclusive 2d and 3D platformers to Xbox.
A great studio producing great content. Totally agree @dezzy70, I thought they already were on the books!
I'll add that this is an astounding achievement for the XSS - a fantastic entry to the next gen, and one to be proud of
@Dezzy70
Once again, I agree. How Microsoft has not given even Banjo is beyond me. Lol
I'm confused. I thought the Series S just didn't support 4k output. Remind me again then why the x1x enhancements won't apply to the Series S.
That's awsome news for Series S owners..
@KelticDevil
Sometimes things in business to us seem simple and obvious, but i guess there is a lot more to it than just getting the cheque book out.
@Porridge2215 m
Yes I thought Moon Studios was as well, then realised they were not a Microsoft studio, it’s a shame but maybe one day.
@Alpha_Pulse You are in for a treat, sir. Ori 2 is my goty so far. The game play is sublime, and the narrative has a similar emotional feel to Journey, but the game is fun.
There's a lot of agreement on this website, and I don't really like it 🤬
Can anyone direct me to another website, (maybe European?) where you're nearly sent death threats for stating an opinion?
Joking of course 😜
@Hypnotoad107 I loved Journey so that's great to hear!
This might be possible due to the massive optimizations that they did to get the game running well on Switch. It's 60fps there too, and Series S can easily up the resolution from there.
