That massive Capcom leak you might have heard about appears to have revealed some promising news for Xbox fans.
According to @pokeprotos and @GarnetSunset on Twitter, the data leak suggests the sixth entry in the Street Fighter series will be available on both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
The next entry will supposedly be making its way across to past-gen platforms as well (including the Xbox One) and is expected to feature cross-generation support. This could also indicate the game will arrive sooner rather than later.
All versions of Street Fighter V have so far been exclusive to the PlayStation 4 on console.
It's worth noting that Capcom hasn't officially revealed Street Fighter VI just yet, but given the ongoing success of the series over the years - it's not exactly a surprise to a hear a new one could already be in development.
Would you be willing to welcome back Street Fighter with open arms or are you still slightly annoyed the Xbox One missed out on the fifth entry? Share your thoughts down below.

One of the few PS4 "exclusives" I got, I'll welcome anything SF on Xbox! By the way, Killer Instinct is amazing.
Absolutely vital that games of this stature don't skip out on Xbox this gen. You just can't afford to have marquee titles exclusive to the competition.
@BlueOcean Killer Instinct is indeed an amazing game! I wish it had launched a bit later into the Xbox life cycle complete rather than in the piece meal way it did because it is a truly underrated fighter and looks stunning now.
The reason why Street Fighter 5 was exclusive to PS4 to begin with is because Sony helped fund it. Otherwise the game wouldn't have existed on consoles at all. Same thing why Shenmue 3 is exclusive to PS4, Sony made the necessary contributions for the project to come to fruition on consoles. It's not like the developers thought "well let's just skip Xbox One since the system is not doing so well". They simply had a partnership with Sony that helped them bring the game over to consoles.
Let's hope it's better than Street Fighter V.
Personally I think the series lost its charm, when it went 3D.
Might just be my imagination, but it just doesn't feel as fast and responsive as the older 2D games.
@Steel76 I really loved SFIV, but SFV was just not ready when it launched.
@Medic_Alert I agree, it's a great game. I used to play Killer Instinct Gold a lot on N64 and getting both original arcades included with Killer Instinct "3" Definitive Edition is a nice bonus.
Always welcome, but I personally think there's better fighting games out these days.
I’d buy SF VI and Hori’s new fighting stick alpha.
It was a bit annoying that it was a PS exclusive but definitely not the worst thing. KI was so much better and more fun to me. That's what Xbox needs, a new KI! SF VI on Xbox would be welcomed though.
More excited about the Resident Evil leaks..
They really need to change the art style.
I never played SF V i just didn't like the art style at all.
@BlueOcean
I am about to play Killer Instinct on Xbox One for the first time. I get that you think it is good?
@KelticDevil Yes, they're great but I grew up playing Street Fighter and Killer Instinct so they're special to me.
Hopefully this will bring a revived interest of fighting game developers releasing their games on the Xbox platform.I mean, the only reason DBFZ is on Xbox is because Microsoft and Bamco are friendly with each other, otherwise good luck getting another ArcSys-made game on Xbox.
Uni not graced an Xbox console yet, SNK's classics which are coming back like the Last Blade didn't come to Xbox.
I hope Microsoft can try to correct these wrongs.
Eagerly waiting for KOF15 and Strive
