Ubisoft has today shared an "inside look" at the recently released Watch Dogs: Legion running on Xbox Series X hardware ahead of the next-gen version's launch on November 10th.
As highlighted in the video, this version will run at 4K resolution and a "consistent" 30 frames per-second on the system, also featuring greater fidelity, shadows, geometry and of course, super fast loading times.
The big headline feature though is the game's real-time ray traced reflections, allowing Ubisoft to "bring an unprecedented level of realism to such an urban environment," which you can get a good look at above.
What do you think of this footage? Impressed by the game's next-gen visuals? Let us know down below.

Looks pretty good to me. I'm not a techy with the best TVs and all but just the lights, reflections and shadows definitely look better than what I've played at the moment. I'm not playing this game... maybe ever...just doesn't entice me in any way...but it looks great.
Really pleased RT for WDL will becoming to Series S too.
Wow, I was set to make this one of my launch day games. The review on PS butchered it and had me deciding against it.
But this video does look like a nice SX tech demo for day 1.....
Still really on the fence.
@NEStalgia my takeaway from the reviews - "worth a buy but not on current gen"
It’s a great looking game, this is selling what Ray tracing is all about. I have no interest in playing it, but impressive all the same.
Looks good, I was going to wait to play it on series x, but after so so reviews I've just rented it on current gen and only done the first mission so far.
This does look good and bodes well for Series X's capabilities going forward, I can't say I'm convinced by the game but the tech on show is mightily impressive
@Jaxx420 That definitely contributed to the modest at best scores, but it also seems like a case of UbiFormula fatigue without really differentiating itself. Other than the feeling it shouldn't have released on current gen, I mostly get a sense that it doesn't do anything particularly wrong....it's just more of what you've already played in a slightly more vapid sandbox than before, without being terribly exciting.
But it's sooooo preeetyy! I'm not sure if I can pass up this tech demo on the SX......
I'm already buying Planet Coaster (that's THE launch game for me. It's pretty and I was a hardcore fan of RCT1&2 on PC) But it's not the only experience I want. Valhalla I'm interested in, but no RT, it's not a tech demo. Same for Yakuza....cool game, looks to be its best on X...but no tech demo and slightly iffy performance even on X.
PS5 might be Miles and nothing else. Godfall is interesting but I don't quite "feel" it. I hate Souls but it's a looker. Sackboy is a must but I'm saving that as a Christmas treat, not launch. Probably Tsushma that I haven't played yet. But not a tech demo.
Cyberpunk is MIA until the real X patch.
I liked the first W_D. IT didn't live up to expectations and Aiden is less interesting than dehydrated plywood. But the world and mood was good. 2 fixed the gameplay and broke the world. I had high hopes for 3.
That's the best ad for Series X I've seen yet. It's an ideal game to show off ray tracing.
I'm enjoying Watch Dogs: Legion so far on Xbox One X. But I'm mostly ignoring the campaign and focused on wandering around London recruiting.
Despite having permadeath enabled, I haven't lost a character yet on Normal difficulty. Combat is easier than I expected in the early game.
Looks amazing..
Better lights, shadows, reflections. Got it. But are there gameplay aspects/enhancements to it? Will shadows actually work, to hide people. Will shadows and reflections give people away, will ai notice, etc. Yeah it might be pretty, but if the guard/patrol can walk right by my shadow/reflection without notice, kinda meh at that point.
Definitely looks pretty though.
Watched this very closely on my 4K OLED TV, and whilst it could perhaps be a little sharper, it’s a first next gen game though, it’s packed with details and rammed with ray tracing, overall it looks stunning!
Pretty disappointed that's it's been confirmed by Digital Foundry that this is a 1440p upscaled to Dynamic 4K given the fact the game runs at 30fps but this game still looks so pretty on Series X, can't wait!
@S1ayeR74 It's upscaled 4k so no surprise.
@DonJorginho And not even max settings
Here's to hoping it doesn't come out and cause an overheating issue on the X or S that'll be exacerbated by the previous heat news.
Not interested in this game but will buy it when it's on sale just for walking around in London. It looks good on the X!
